This hands- on course will provide didactic and practical information designed to familiarise participants with the restorative armamentarium of the Straumann® Dental Implant System.
The following aspects will be covered:
- Biological principles of osseointegration
- Biomechanics
- Case selection and treatment planning
- Restorative components and options
- Maintenance and complications
Speakers
Dr Anthony Dickinson
Dr Anthony Dickinson completed his BDSc (Melbourne) in 1978 and his postgraduate training in Prosthodontics (Indiana University) in 1985. He then joined the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Connecticut. For the past 20 years he has maintained a private specialist practice with an emphasis on interdisciplinary management and implant dentistry. Dr Dickinson is an ITI Fellow, a member of the Board of Directors of the ITI and the immediate past-Chairman of the Australasian Section.
Associate Professor Kwan Yat Zee
Assoc Prof Kwan Yat Zee completed his Masters degree in Periodontology in 1991 at Lund University Malmö, Sweden. He returned to Hong Kong and was Associate Professor in the Faculty of Dentistry in Hong Kong from 1992 to 1997. In 2007, Assoc Prof Zee was appointed the Head of Periodontics in Westmead Centre for Oral Health and Clinical Associate Professor and Head of Periodontology in Faculty of Dentistry, University of Sydney. He is an ITI Fellow.
