Removable Prosthetic Options In Implant Dentistry

This session deals with cement vs. screw in prostheses - their indications and complications. Implant overdenture bar design and attachment selection for the maxilla and mandible and the step-by-step removable prosthesis fabrication are presented. An Intraoral photography section is included to assist with medico-lagal doccumentation. Methods of determination of vertical dimension and maxillo-mandibular relationships are presented.
Occlusal considerations, overdenture design according to implant and or soft tissue support are presented to simplify denture manufacture and enhance prosthesis and implant longevity.
Speakers
Dr Dan Brener
Dr Brener is a registered Prosthodontist with a distinguished academic record as well as being a leader in dental education.
Academic background
He graduated in Dentistry from the Sydney University Dentistry faculty in 1983 and was awarded the Port Dental Prize as well as prizes for Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry. Adding to these successes, Dr Brener continued to develop his knowledge and was awarded his Master of Dental Science in Prosthodontics at Sydney University in 1987.
Expertise in dental education
Currently Dr Brener holds the position of Clinical Associate in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Sydney. He is also involved in the planning of the Post Graduate Prosthodontic Programme as a member of the Prosthodontic Post Graduate Planning Committee. In additional to these roles, he is a lecturer to the University of Sydney Implant Diploma.
