- Discussing the instruments and equipment required during treatment
- The importance of Endodontic diagnosis and case planning
- How to integrate these concepts and instruments into your practice. The lecturers will describe the techniques they use in their personal practise of Endodontics including the use of FlexMaster and Mtwo
- How the apex locator can benefit Endodontic treatment.
- The status of current Endodontic obturation techniques
Speakers
Dr Luke Moloney
Specialist Endodontist
Dr Moloney graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science from Melbourne University in 1983. He spent five years in private general dental practice before completing his Master's Degree in Endodontics in 1990.
Luke is now in private specialist practice as an Endodontist in Camberwell and Brighton. He is the Consultant Endodontist at the Royal Children's Hospital, Department of Dentistry and a Senior Fellow at the School of Dental Science, University of Melbourne where he teaches clinical endodontics to graduate students.
Luke is a past Secretary/Treasurer of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Endodontists and the Australian Society of Endodontology. He has lectured throughout Australia and overseas and has conducted many ‘hands-on' courses in molar endodontics. His particular areas of interest are: Treatment Planning in Endodontics, Trauma Management, and Endodontic Re-Treatment.
Dr Peter Parashos
Dr Peter Parashos graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1980 and obtained his MDSc in 1989 and PhD in 2004. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists. He is currently Senior Lecturer in Endodontics and COnvener of Postgraduate Endodontics at the University of Melbourne. He also works in private Endodontic practice and is actively involved in CPD programmes in Endodontics. His contribution to endodontics in Victoria has earned him Honourary Life Membership to the Australian Society of Endodontology (Vic. Branch).
